Does it exactly what it says on the tin. Gary’s place was a perfect location for us visiting family and exploring Liverpool, Chester and the surrounding area with our young family. This wee house offers plenty of space and has the basics you need to get by. As Gary says, it’s not a 5 star clean cut hotel suite. There’s rooms needing some TLC with beds that are not the most comfortable but will see you through the night just fine. We had some concerns on arrival with cleanliness. This was communicated to Gary and his handling of the situation was excellent. I cannot fault his communication or approach to our concerns. He had been let down by his cleaning company however I am led to believe he has since sourced a more suitable company to ensure his property meets the cleaning standard he expects and wants for his guests. On our first night we visited a local pub called the Glasfyrn for dinner. WOW! smashing food, service and a tractor in the garden the kids could clamber on. Our jaunt to Chester took us to the Belly Buster Banquet at the Slow Boat Chinese restaurant which is just ridiculous and glorious in equal measure. In Liverpool we were on the hunt for the Baltic Bakehouse which did not disappoint. We love food and this is always a focal point on our trips away and we were not disappointed.
